Warner Bros. is playing hot potato with its DC films! The studio is moving the release dates for The Flash, Shazam! Fury of the Gods, Black Adam and The Batman according to The Hollywood Reporter.
First up, The Flash is being delayed to later in 2022. The film will now debut on November 4, 2022 instead of June 3, 2022. Next, Shazam! Fury of the Gods is moving to a whole new year. It is now expected to hit theaters on June 2, 2023! It was originally in the November 4, 2022 spot, which The Flash now occupies.
Black Adam featuring Dwayne Johnson and Aldis Hodge is no longer coming out on December 22, 2021. With all the shuffling happening at Warner Bros. the film does not have a new date at this time. No word on what this means for production either.
Lastly, The Batman is now set for a March 4, 2022 release date rather than it’s original date of October 1, 2021. The film did experience several filming delays, including the star Robert Pattinson contracting COVID-19. The Batman is currently back in production.
The Matrix will be moving premiering sooner. Instead of premiering April 1, 2022 it will now premiere on Dec 22, 2021.
